Prepping clients without document overload

How do you keep clients engaged 48 hours before a deposition without burying them in PDFs? I usually deliver a 2-page chronology and a top-10 exhibit packet from CaseMap, then do a 30-minute run-through, but too often they spiral or reschedule at the last minute. What tactics have kept prep focused and protected the record when schedules slip?

Swap the 2-page chronology for a one-page “anchor sheet”: three rules, three likely traps, and two neutral phrases (“I don’t understand the question,” “Can you point me to the document?”), then do a 10-minute role-play instead of the 30-minute run-through. I also lock a brief day-of reset call to protect the record if prep slipped — way calmer than a late “top-10 exhibit packet.” Would you try a 5-minute voice memo recap as the last touch?
