Clause library and approval matrix setup

I’m weighing Ironclad versus a SharePoint + Excel stack to manage a clause library and approval matrix that will stand up to SOX/SOC 2 audits; we handle about 60 vendor contracts a month and need rigorous versioning, approval logs, and retention tags. If you have general resources or sample frameworks (taxonomy, naming conventions, redline thresholds) that worked for your teams, please share — this is for general information only and we’ll consult a qualified attorney for any specific matters.

But for about 60/month, SharePoint + Purview retention labels gave us SOC 2-friendly logs; caveat: Ironclad’s clause fallback UX was smoother. Learn about retention policies & labels to retain or delete | Microsoft Learn.
