“Please apply promptly” Ugh, so true — when I landed a remote litigation paralegal contract in July, applying within 24 hours and leading my resume with eFileTexas, Relativity, and PACER got me quick callbacks. For that Dallas listing, ask if they’ll do hybrid after ramp-up; lots of firms loosen location once you prove you can handle e‑filing and depo/exhibit prep remotely. Caveat: these vanish fast, so set LinkedIn alerts for “remote paralegal” + your state or you’ll miss the window.

I’ve run into this too — one small tweak that paid off was writing the expected outcome before touching the settings.

Quick example from last week: I pasted a “mini case log” (3 anonymized tele-triage cases with outcomes and avg handle time) in the message and led with my licensed states plus overnight availability, and I got two same-day callbacks. Caveat: some portals strip attachments, so keep the highlights inline and add a view-only doc if needed — think of it as “receipts.” If you need wording on scope, AVMA’s telehealth page helps: https://www.avma.org/resources-tools/telehealth.

Piggybacking on @melanier92, I’ve gotten more callbacks by attaching a 1-page “case tracker” sample — redacted — showing file naming, deadline logs, and discovery status, and by bolding the exact tools the post asks for in my header. If it’s remote, I add time zone and typical core hours in the first line to reassure on availability. Small caveat: keep it to one tidy PDF — one clean page beats a Dropbox dump.
